GARY HARMAN NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, CONSUMER LENDING OPERATIONS MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. August 14, 2009 – Kinecta Federal Credit Union today announced Gary Harman has joined the organization as Vice President, Consumer Lending Operations. Harman’s primary responsibilities include oversight and administration of the Credit Union’s consumer lending and credit card services. Additionally, he will be responsible for consumer loan volume and membership growth through the design and delivery of competitive, attractive, member-friendly loan products.
“Gary brings tremendous depth of experience in consumer lending and management of credit risk,” said Jess Lederman, Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer. “Kinecta is now well positioned to meet our members’ needs across a wide range of consumer, residential, and commercial assets.”
Harman previously served as Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer at HSBC Auto Finance, where he improved underwriting policies while increasing loan volume and lowering loss rates. In this role, he also led credit policy, scoring, risk oversight, decision technology, project management and business information development. Prior to that, Harman held the titles of Director Credit Policy at HSBC North America, Vice President, Credit Administration at First Chicago NBD (now JP Morgan Chase) as well as Vice President, Risk Management at American Express.
