Champion Academy

Cherise M., a Kinecta employee, nominated Chris R. and Champion Academy. Here’s what she said, “The Champion Academy helps urban teens in poverty in many ways, including, helping kids heal from traumatic experiences and use them as fuel to drive their improvement as students, citizens, and future professionals. My son is a part of the academy, and it has helped big time.”

Team Kids

Melinda B. nominated Nestor and Team Kids. Here’s what she said, “Nestor is ready to step in and volunteer every time there is a need. For years, he has said “yes” when asked to help. He has volunteered to oversee the Team Kids Youth Council & has been a mentor to many teens. He also hosts Team Kids clothing and toy drives to benefit local nonprofits.”

Best Buddies International

Marisa H. nominated Lindsay and Best Buddies International. Here’s what she said, “Lindsay's passion for kids with disabilities is like nothing I’ve seen. She is constantly working and volunteering in the community to spread inclusion. She is non-stop with making a difference in the Rochester Area. I’m lucky to have someone with her drive in our community!”

Richmond Street School PTA

Amy S. nominated Sara & the Richmond Street School PTA. The American Diabetes Association offer local programs and resources, from medical care to education, to nutrition and health.

Murdock Community & Care Services, Inc.

By relation she is my mother in love but for the Murdock Community family, she is the glue. Whatever we need the minute we need it, she is there. She follows up with community, makes calls, filters data, is supportive and productive. Tee, is the best!”

Bridges for Brain Injury, Inc.

Bridges for Brain Injury mission is to guide individuals with a traumatic brain injury and physical disabilities and their families, by ‘bridging the gap’ between surviving and living lives of independence with dignity and hope.

Footprints Around the World Inc.

Geynna B. nominated Judy H. and Footprints Around the World Inc. Here’s what Geynna submitted, “Judy started this non-profit approx. 9yrs ago, she has done so much to help the community. Her heart seeks to help people in need. She has served food to many, hosted Backpack Giveaways, Boxes of Love for Thanksgiving, Toy Drives for Christmas & so much more.”

Founded in 2014, the organization has dedicated themselves to help the homeless and low income families in the Los Angeles community. Footprints has provided over 9,000 hot meals, bundles of clothing, thousands of toys, and hundreds of gift boxes.

Center of Inpowermeant Inc. 501c3

Liliu A. nominated Lurinda J. and the Center of Inpowermeant Inc. 501c3. Here’s what Liliu submitted, “Ms. Jones goes above and beyond the call of duty. Even when she had suffered loss, experienced challenges with her health, attending school and managed single parenting, she never lost sight of the need to help others that were less fortunate.”

Center of Inpowermeant provides several resources to the families in need within inner city Los Angeles.

Marilyn L. nominated John H. and Carson 411. Here’s what she submitted, "John has taken a diverse community of 10 or more nationalities and brought them together as one. His community bike rides, toy drives, adopt a child program and random blessings have motivated this community to give back. The Mayor, City council and sheriff's dept endorses him."

Carson 411 aims to keep the Carson family informed about present and future issues concerning our city. I.e., city hall meetings, new housing developments, senior programs, summer programs for kids, new businesses, etc.
