You owe $24,000 on your vehicle and you total it. After subtracting your deductible, your insurance company awards you $22,000. You will be out-of-pocket for the $2,000 difference.
GAP benefit = $2,000, GAP Advantage benefit = $1,000, PowerBuyTM benefit = $5,000
Total benefit = $8,000
This scenario not only covers the $2,000 gap but gives you $6,000 towards a new vehicle. GAP Advantage can be added when you finance your auto, van, light truck or SUV. It can also be added to eligible vehicles financed in the previous 12 months.
Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP) protects you long after your warranty has expired, and Kinecta can usually offer it at a lower cost than your dealer. Also known as Major Mechanical Protection (MMP), this policy covers major components: engine, transmission, front and rear wheel drive, front suspension, steering, electrical and air conditioning. It also provides for rental car reimbursement and 24-hour roadside assistance. Unlike many other warranty programs, MBP allows for service at the repair facility of your choice in the United States and Canada. Coverage is transferable to a new owner, adding to the resale value of the vehicle. The cost of coverage can be included in your monthly vehicle payment or purchased separately.
