Kinecta Celebrated 2023 Random Acts of Kindness Week
Kinecta Federal Credit Union conducted a full week of acts of goodwill and positivity in celebration of the 2023 Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week.
Kinecta supplied team members with gift cards they used to surprise neighbors and community partners with acts of goodwill, such as buying pet supplies for local animal shelters.
Here are a few highlights Kinecta volunteers took part in during RAK Week:
- In the Rochester area, sandwiches with motivational messages written on the bags were assembled and distributed to community members battling substance abuse at Recovery All Ways in downtown Rochester, NY.
- Hygiene kits were assembled and delivered to the residents of the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) in downtown Rochester, NY.
- In Texas, pet supplies were purchased for a local animal shelter.
- Approximately 200 lbs. of food, blankets, and several packages of toys and dog leashes were collected from the community and delivered to South Bay spcaLA.
In addition to celebrating Random Acts of Kindness week, Kinecta celebrates kindness yearlong with its #KinectaKindness Awards program.
The #KinectaKindness Awards is a program created in 2019 designed to inspire acts of kindness and shine a light on stories of goodwill—large and small—throughout the communities we serve. Following selection, Kinecta will donate $250 to the nonprofit of the #KinectaKindness Awards winners’ choice. Individuals can be nominated by filling out a short form at kinecta.org/kinectakindness

Help us celebrate kind and positive role models across our communities and nominate someone for their goodwill and gestures of kindness,” said Latrice McGlothin, Executive Director, Kinecta Community Foundation.
#KinectaKindness Application Guidelines:
Awardees should be:
- Any person or individual at least 16 years of age or older.
- A legal resident of the United States.
- A resident in Essex County, Livingston County, Los Angeles County, Monroe County, Morris County, Ontario County, Orange County, Palm Beach County, Santa Barbara County, Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, Sussex County, Warren County or Wayne County.
- Non-profit organizations should also be in the counties listed above.
To continue honoring generosity and kindness, Kinecta is inviting the community to nominate caring individuals for its ongoing #KinectaKindness Awards program.
Awardees are announced through Kinecta's Facebook and Instagram Stories twice a month. Spread the word via social media using #KinectaKindness, to encourage more goodwill!
